In 1776, at the age of 59, Leonhard Euler was almost deprived of his sense of sight due to the cataract in his right eye. He wrote around 800 articles and books half of which when he was already blind Euler easily solved the problem accurately by just computing in his mind without the use of a pen and paper.ġ0. A couple of students were trying to sum up a complicated series but when they reached a certain decimal point, they could not agree on a specific answer. One of the many proofs of Leonhard Euler’s brilliance is that he is known to calculate in his head. He is known for calculating and computing in his head Euler should be pronounced as “Oiler” not “Yuler”.ĩ. Most people can easily enumerate his achievements but unfortunately most of the time they mispronounce his name. What makes the story more incredible is that he could even pinpoint from what page and from what edition of the book a paragraph came from. One of the popular stories about this astounding skill is that he could recite Virgil’s Aeneid from beginning to end without even looking at the book. An interesting Leonhard Euler fact is that he could easily remember poems, essays, and novels word for word. Having a photographic memory helped Leonhard Euler in his educational attainment at an early age. At 13 years old, he entered the University of Basel in Switzerland and at age 17, he received his Master’s degree. Bernoulli was giving the young Euler private lessons and discovered his remarkable flair in mathematics. However, his father’s friend Johann Bernoulli, who was also a popular 18 th century Math wizard, convinced them otherwise. Leonhard Euler was supposed to follow his father’s footsteps and become a pastor in his Ministry. Euler Earned his Master’s Degree at the young age of 17 The Euler’s Identity is composed of the very symbols that Euler himself either invented or popularized.Ħ. Scholars globally believed that it is one of the most exceptional combinations of math equations that he created out of several theorems he put out there. The math wizard had this uncanny ability to make formulations that are integral in the fields of arithmetic, calculus and trigonometry. The eiπ + 1 = 0, also known as Euler’s Identity, is arguably the most beautiful mathematical equation that was ever invented. He created the most beautiful mathematical equation: “Euler’s Identity” An interesting fact about Leonhard Euler is that no other mathematician, past or present, has the distinct honor of having two numbers named after them.ĥ. The “ e” and the “ γ” in the equations are known as “Euler’s Number” and “Euler Constant,” respectively. Students who love Mathematics will undoubtedly remember his name. Two important math numbers are named after Leonhard Euler His regular use of the symbol π when referring to the ratio of circumference to diameter in a circle while documenting his mathematical analysis helped in standardizing pi, as seen in his numerous published articles and books.Ĥ. While the symbol π or pi was first introduced in 1706 by William Jones, it was not popularly known until Leonhard Euler decided to utilize it in 1737. This unique technique of using symbols made it possible for people today to collaborate and exchange math theories globally.ģ. Leonhard Euler introduced the concept of math notations such as those mentioned above, thus making it easier to analyze and solve math problems. Modern mathematics would not be what it is today without this significant contribution. Euler Introduced the use of f(x), e, i, Σ in solving math problems It is not surprising that this Swiss mathematician is being labeled as one of the Greatest of All Time, an interesting fact about Leonhard Euler. Even prominent math practitioners back in the 18 th century had acknowledged his remarkable mental superpowers since most of them had given up in solving those complex problems. He is arguably the greatest mathematician in the 18 th CenturyĬomplicated math problems were often solved by Leonhard Euler during his time. His contributions to Astronomy, Optics, Lunar Theory, and even Music Theory also added to his prominence. His discoveries paved the way for an easier way of learning the challenging world of Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Physics. His prolific understanding in solving equations without writing down made him legendary. Math scholars around the world considered Leonhard Euler as one of the greats.

Modified on: Wed, 1 Dec, 2021 at 10:15 AM “We figured out not just the placements of the songs within the story but also what the story would be.” ‘Let It Go’ changed everything, as Jennifer Lee revealed to the New York Times in 2014, “The minute we heard the song the first time, I knew that I had to rewrite the whole movie.” Elsa was no longer a villain and – crucially – retained her powers. “We worked with the team every day, really,” Lopez told Entertainment Weekly in 2013. The songs of Frozen were integral both to its plot and its character development. I worried a bit about the neighbors – especially when I screeched out those last ‘storm rage OOOOONNNNN!!!’ notes.” And I belted out the demo 24 hours later. We spent some hours scribbling stream-of-conscious Elsa thoughts and a few more hours noodling and putting those lyrics to melody. At one point, I jumped up on a picnic table on a hill and started singing ‘Let it go,’ pretending to let my repressed imaginary snow powers out. “Bobby and I took a walk in Prospect Park and put ourselves in Elsa’s shoes,” Anderson-Lopez explained to Billboard, “That’s when we realized the song had to be about what it would feel like to carry that secret and shame and finally feel free of that weight. With the conceptual hook in place, the writers got working on the song that would change the course of the movie. In a later meeting with the creative team, we all agreed the hook ‘Let it go’ seemed right for a song about leaving it all behind, while also letting your secret powers out.” At this point, Elsa was still hovering in villain territory. We did a major overhaul of the characters and story and ended up with an outline that included a moment we called ‘Elsa’s Bad-Ass Song,’ where she transformed into the Snow Queen. That was when Elsa was the villain of the movie, with spiky blue hair and a team of angry snow monsters. And prior to writing ‘Let It Go,’ we had written a song for Elsa called ‘Cool With Me’ that had a Sara Bareilles, anti-love-song vibe. Frozen directors and co-writers Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee had originally envisioned Elsa as the villain of the movie, but that all changed when they heard “Let It Go.” Anderson-Lopez explained the process in a Billboard interview, “We had known for months that Elsa was not going to sing like other princesses – that was her sister’s territory. Originally, Disney bosses had an entirely different kind of song in mind. She’s frustrated at the way she’s been forced to hide what she is capable of and, over the course of the song, resolves to accept her powers rather than live in fear of them. Elsa sings “Let It Go” from her place of isolation. Elsa is crowned queen of Arendelle after her 21st birthday, but on the day of her coronation, a conflict with Anna causes Elsa to accidentally unleash her powers, and the new Queen turns her kingdom to ice. Tragically, the sisters’ parents are killed at sea during a storm when they’re both still teenagers. The two sisters are isolated from one another, and a rift is created, despite Elsa’s love for Anna. For many years Elsa has been hiding her magical ability to control and create snow and ice after accidentally hurting her younger sister Princess Anna. In Frozen, “Let It Go” is sung by Queen Elsa of Arendelle. Listen to “Let It Go” from the Frozen soundtrack now. Married songwriting duo Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez had both tasted success before – Robert wrote music and lyrics for two of the biggest musicals of recent decades, Avenue Q and The Book of Mormon, and Kristen was the co-creator of the critically acclaimed musical, In Transit – but nothing could have prepared either of them for “Let It Go.” “Let It Go” is more than a song, it’s a global phenomenon. It hit the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2014, and there are official recordings in 44 languages. The universal power ballad resonated worldwide and across generations – nearly a decade after its release, children everywhere still sing the stirring chorus melody before they speak their first words. “Let It Go” is an anthem of self-acceptance, the story of somebody learning to embrace the thing that makes them different. A huge part of that success was down to “Let It Go,” the movie’s lead song and an instant classic. Disney’s 2013 movie Frozen was a runaway success, overtaking Toy Story 3 to become the highest-grossing animated film of all time. In Chaldean Numerology, Number 1 corresponds to Sun. Playing as Cody’s brother Kyle, you fight to save your brother after he gets kidnapped. Think Fight Club meets Def Jam: Fight for NY. Final Fight: Streetwise was a sort of gritty sequel for a different time. SNK 2, the Final Fight series remains quiet all the way up to 2006. While the characters Hugo and Poison would appear in Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact, and Maki and Rolento appear in Capcom vs. Of course, that seems to be a monkey paw curse. While the characters work well in fighting game setting, the beat ’em up genre is their home. It’s a little clunky, but it has its moments. Final Fight Revenge brings the characters to a 3D fighter, and this is even where Poison’s first playable appearance comes from. Despite this, the series continues with a fighting game instead of a beat ’em up. There’s a lot of untapped potential in story based games in this world. The two sharing a connection really made the Final Fight characters gain some extra depth. While the Final Fight series had a lot of narrative, it was the Street Fighter integration that really built a world. Even though the cells can’t actually contain him, this is the life he was to grow used to. After some time, Cody succumbs to boredom and fights criminals for fun, getting himself arrested in the process. Cody’s inclusion here is important, because at this point in his life, he’s a convict. Street Fighter Alpha 2 continued the trend by adding the boss character Rolento, and Alpha 3 would bring Cody into the mix (later versions would also add Maki). Guy, one of the main protagonists, joined the fight along with the boss character Sodom. This would be the first step in the franchise crossover, as it would feature two playable Final Fight characters. Speaking of Street Fighter, shortly after the release of Final Fight 2, Street Fighter Alpha arrived. Either way, despite Poison and Roxy being replaced, Poison has become a popular mainstay in the Street Fighter series, appearing as playable in Street Fighter X Tekken, Ultra Street Fighter IV, and Street Fighter V. The subject has been known to be ambiguous in some situations, but that’s a story for another day. In fact, Poison herself has been subject to a lot of controversy regarding her sex, as Poison is in most cases considered to be a trans female. Damnd and Sodom were given new names and Poison and Roxy were replaced with male henchmen. A lot of Final Fight’s content was subject to censorship, going as far as to rename or replace characters. While the series was seeing a lot of success during this time, it did come with some complications. Unfortunately, it did suffer a graphical quality drop and even less responsive controls. The original game even got a Sega CD port with Final Fight CD, adding voice acting, higher quality music, and a time attack mode. This is of course, after the first game got a port, and even an alternate version with Final Fight Guy. Interestingly enough, it started in the arcade, but quickly continued on home consoles with Final Fight 2 and Final Fight 3. The Final Fight series has several games, some more successful than others. The original adventure of Cody, Guy and Haggar going against the Mad Gear Gang is a tale that many know, and we think it’s time to Bring it Back! Final Fight also shares the same universe with the popular Street Fighter franchise, even sharing multiple characters. It’s also provided quite a legacy, which has in turn brought forth lots of homages, tributes, and of course, memes. Originally releasing in arcades in 1989, this series has given birth to deeper combos in beat ’em up combat. Our first franchise to feature for Bring it Back is none other than Capcom’s Final Fight series!įinal Fight is an incredibly iconic franchise in the beat ’em up genre, rivaling series like Streets of Rage, Double Dragon, and more. We encourage open discussion in the comments here, reminiscing on these games and hopefully showing the IP owners that we want to bring them back. This can mean ports, remakes, or even sequels anything that puts historic franchises back on the map. While we don’t expect them all to come back, the goal here is to put a spotlight on IPs that deserve another chance at life. Welcome to our first entry in our brand new feature series, Bring it Back! This weekly series will focus on games from the past, many we know of, and many that have fallen into obscurity. It is available for Windows and Linux platforms. The better and more effective the password dictionary is, the more likely it is that it will crack the password. As you already know, the success of the attack depends on the dictionary of passwords. It basically performs dictionary attacks against a wireless network to guess the password. Aircrack-ng can be used for any NIC which supports raw monitoring mode. This tool comes with WEP/WPA/WPA2-PSK cracker and analysis tools to perform attacks on Wi-Fi 802.11. I also mentioned this tool in our older post on most popular password-cracking tools. This is a popular brute force wifi password cracking tool available for free. I am sure you already know about the Aircrack-ng tool. Popular tools for brute force attacks Aircrack-ng In this post, I am going to add a few brute force password-cracking tools for different protocols. You can use it in any software, any website or any protocol which does not block requests after a few invalid trials. Now, you know that a brute-forcing attack is mainly used for password cracking. In this case, you can try the same password and guess the different usernames until you find the working combination. Imagine if you know a password but do not have any idea of the usernames. In this, the attacker tries one password against multiple usernames. It takes a reverse approach in password cracking. Reverse brute force attackĪ reverse brute force attack is another term that is associated with password cracking. Therefore, the higher the type of encryption (64-bit, 128-bit or 256-bit encryption) used to encrypt the password, the longer it can take to break. In this, the hash is generated from random passwords and then this hash is matched with a target hash until the attacker finds the correct one. In this way, it can find hidden pages on any website.īrute force is also used to crack the hash and guess a password from a given hash. If the page does not exist, it will show a 404 response on a success, the response will be 200. Similarly, for discovering hidden pages, the attacker tries to guess the name of the page, sends requests and sees the response. However, for offline software, things are not as easy to secure. Account lockout is another way to prevent the attacker from performing brute force attacks on web applications. This makes it hard for attackers to guess the password, and brute force attacks will take too much time. To prevent password cracking from brute force attacks, one should always use long and complex passwords. These attacks can take several minutes to several hours or several years, depending on the system used and length of password. However, this traditional technique will take longer when the password is long enough. In a traditional brute force attack, the attacker just tries the combination of letters and numbers to generate a password sequentially. If this dictionary contains the correct password, the attacker will succeed. The attacker tries these passwords one by one for authentication. In this, the attacker uses a password dictionary that contains millions of words that can be used as a password. The most common and easiest to understand example of the brute force attack is the dictionary attack to crack passwords. If it is larger, it will take more time, but there is a better probability of success. Success depends on the set of predefined values. A brute force attack when an attacker uses a set of predefined values to attack a target and analyze the response until he succeeds.
